Obvious stuff (instant kick, no obligation to warn):
- Do not disrespect other players
- No cheating

Not so much rules, but guidelines. Breaking these might not get you kicked, but will definitely weigh against you in consideration of any other actions.
- No bunnyhopping
- No camping

I submit a vote to ban the RPG Rocket Launcher along with martyrdom!

Or did we all vote on martyrdom already?

Everyone who matters...

BTW, to clear-up any mis-understanding, I was joking about that. No vote has been done.

Whatever.. lol.. I made everything's initial state exactly like what we're used to. It can be any way the group wants it, I just carried everything over from OTC.

My personal thoughts are that I don't like or want martyrdom on the server, but I'm tired of bitching about it and wasting time enforcing it, so I don't really care one way or another if it's used or not.

The 'obvious stuff' are hard rules.

Everything below is decided by the group.

Sure, if by how it was meant to be played means no martyrdom. :ph43r:

Sorry if im out of place here. I play this on the 360. Yeah Martyrdom is annoying to a degree, but it's also a challenge some players on your server might need to complete. It also reduces teabagging(its intention). Dont get me wrong, I love giving The Lipton, A Sack Lunch, etc but Cod4 has slowed that down for me.
Its also what a fanatic will do, its not done after your dead but as a dying act.

As for the bunnyhopping, on 360 you can only get about 2.5 jumps out in a row before you cant jump for about 15 secs(another nice addition).

In closing, its your server. Put what rules you want, but it will also push players away if a server has too many rules.

PS. You guys played Vegas 2 yet.....Great Tactical shooter...promotes excellent teamplay.

Yeah, we've pretty much reached a stalemate on Martyrdom. It finally occurred to some of us it's a great way to get the Hot Potato challenge. This 'nade is never cooked.

AND, we've pretty much all gotten the Martyrdom Challenge, thus proving we've all used it at least 15 times, lol.

Yes i said 360...not to start a debate buuuuuuuuuuuuuut. I owned a pc at one time I used strictly for gaming. Dumped around 2k into it..lasted 3 years then psu fried whole damned thing. So i thought out my options...Bf2 bored me...no other pc games thrilled me. So i went the cheaper route, $400 for a 360 or another 2-3k on a Pc???? I dont regret one second the choice I made.

Granted you cant upgrade a console, but the average time between them is around 2 years. So I can drop $400-$500 every two years on a console, or just that much if not more on a gfx card alone? Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that math out. :P

I'm taking the no martyrdom line out. I just don't care anymore, and am tired of enforcing it. Let the people play. :)

Hey, I have a Wii and a PS3. But you'll never see me give up my PC. There's just too much I can do with it that can't be done on a console. I actually bought the PS3 ONLY for the BLU-RAY, the console was just a bonus.

I can pay 500 for Dell's version of a PC, and never be able to do anything with it. Or, I can build mine a paycheck at a time for roughly the same amount. My daughter's ended up being just over 600, when you factor in the upgrades for my PC (gave her the hand me downs). It can handle any game out there.

So...you can spend 400 on a console. OR drop the additional 200 and get something that has purposes beyond gaming. *shrug*
